What is quattro?

quattro is Audi’s renowned four-wheel-drive technology, which delivers optimal handling and grip to each individual wheel, giving superior performance even in poor driving conditions. The technology has been tried and tested, yet it has evolved over the past two decades since its debut on a production car in 1980.

The latest version of quattro delivers a sporty driving experience by sending 60% of the power to the rear axle and 40% to the front. This can be changed depending on road conditions, with up to 80% being sent to the rear axel or up to 60% to the front. This results in complete stability and great traction, no matter what the road surface is like.
